When we bought this house, my husband said the pink tile had to go. I told him if he touched it, I would break his arms. It's how we roll--and it scares our real estate agents!

Gray and pink for the win!

I love vintage details, so we kept the pink tile in the shower in the master at our little project house, but nearly everything else got a "retro glam" makeover. I love how changing the wall and floor color took the tile from peachy to a cool pink. Gray cabinets give the room a masculine side, and a new counter top in gray, black, pink, and white granite ties the room together.
A lot of people, including my husband, would have had this tile refinished to white or replaced it entirely, but all it takes to save a lot of time and money is a little creativity with the color scheme, and you get to keep a piece of history. Bonus: tenants love it!
